ON YOUR MARKS...GET SET…IT’S GAME TIME!!

On Thursday the 31st October we are holding our 2024 Game Dinner! Slap bang in the middle of game season - it was such a success last year, and this year is guaranteed to be even better!

Game season has always been my favourite time of year - and not just because of the food! The nights are drawing in, the fire is lit, the air has a biting chill to it that makes the house feel all the more cosy.

The food during this season is simply fantastic. Rich, hearty and satisfying. Long slow braises that require hours of attention, careful brining and preserving of the autumn’s bounty for the year to come.

Britain exceeds at this time of year - tapping into our long cultural heritage of ‘hunting shooting fishing’, but also of the incredible local produce that comes from both our small scale farmers and from the nearby woods, fields and hedgerows.  

We, as a nation, are very good at cold weather food!
